Overcoming Cleanroom Transport Challenges with Air Casters – Cleanroom Technology
In a cleanroom environment, there is no margin for error when a single particulate of dust can be catastrophic. Such facilities require a material handling solution that can ensure safe movement and positioning of sensitive and expensive equipment without damaging the equipment or floor surface or injuring personnel. The transporting device? Air casters. View the digital article here »
Air Casters Lighten the Load – Machine Design
One area of manufacturing in need of efficiency gains is the joining of subassemblies of multi-ton machines. Air casters make it easy to join large assemblies and setup flexible manufacturing lines. Read the article here »
Mating Equipment on an Assembly Line without Suspending Heavy Components – Industrial Machinery Digest
Ground-based transporters in combination with air casters provide manufacturers a means to float heavy subassemblies rather than lifting them into the air. The method is much safer for employees and significantly reduces component mating process time from hours to minutes. The July issue of Industrial Machinery Digest features Mike Brown’s article “Mating Equipment on an Assembly Line without Suspending Heavy Components’ on pages 36-39. Download the article here »
